The Ministry of Economy and Commerce (MEC) has shut down a company selling building materials for a month for violating rules.
The company, located in Ain Khalid, was found displaying and selling counterfeit door locks with the "Domus" brand name.
MEC inspectors seized 1,302 such locks as part of their intensive search campaigns to maintain tight control over the local market.
Accordingly, a violation was registered against the company and it was closed - administratively - for one month.
Besides, the firm's name will be posted on the MEC website and two local dailies at its expense, along with the said violation.
