The Ministry of Economy and Commerce (MEC), in collaboration with Abdullah Abdulghani & Bros Co (AAB), the dealer of Lexus vehicles in Qatar, has announced the recall of Lexus NX200T 2015 models due to defects in the anti-lock braking system.
In a statement, the ministry has said it will co-ordinate with AAB to follow up on the necessary maintenance and repair processes and communicate with clients to ensure the success of the recall campaign.
The recall is part of the ongoing co-ordination and follow-up by the MEC to ascertain dealers’ commitment to following up on defects and repairing them to protect consumers’ rights, the statement notes.
Consumers can report irregularities to the Department of Consumer Protection and Commercial Fraud Combat, which receives complaints, suggestions and queries through its hotline (16001), e-mail (info@mec.gov.qa), Twitter (@MEC_Qatar), Instagram (MEC_Qatar) and the MEC mobile app for Android and IOS (MEC_Qatar).
