Court acquits woman accused by father of squandering his money
A Doha Misdemeanour Court has acquitted a GCC citizen who was accused by her father of squandering his money, local Arabic daily Arrayah has reported.
The man had filed a court case, alleging that his daughter exploited an authorisation that he had given her to receive rent for a house, amounting to QR14,000 a month for two years, encashing seven cheques, transferring the ownership of two shops and selling some of his shares in different companies without his approval or knowledge.
However, the man could not present any solid evidence of any misdeed by his daughter during the investigation or in court.
Accordingly, the court acquitted the woman of all charges for lack of evidence.
