The Public Works Authority (Ashghal) has announced temporary closure of a 1km section, in either direction, of the fast lane on Salwa Road near the Mesaieed Interchange (Exit 24).
The closure begins on Friday and will continue until December 31.
In a statement, Ashghal said the closure would allow for the construction of Junction 7 (currently Exit 24) as part of Phase 3 of the New Orbital Highway and Truck Route project.
Traffic will continue in the remaining lanes, as shown on the map.
The authority will install road signs to advise motorists of the closure. It has also requested all road users to abide by the speed limit and follow the road signs to ensure their safety.
