Sony Middle East & Africa and Fifty One East have announced the launch of the a7S II, the latest addition to Sony’s series of compact, full-frame a7 cameras.
The camera will be available in the market from October 25 at Fifty One East stores in Al Maha Centre located on Salwa Road and City Center Doha, in addition to Fifty One East’s shop-in-shop in Virgin Megastore at Landmark and Villaggio.
Sony chose Qatar as the launch destination for its new camera for the first time in the Middle East, a statement noted.
Sony Middle East & Africa and Darwish Technology organised a dedicated workshop for professionals and camera fans to showcase the new product and highlight its key features.
The workshop was held in Doha in the presence of Satoru Arai, head, Sony Middle East Marketing Company; Ziad Asmar, executive director of Darwish Technology, professional videographers and photographers from Qatar, stock photography website FotoArabia’s representatives and experts from Sony who were on hand to provide details on the salient features of the new camera.
“Offering ultra-high sensitivity and wide dynamic range across the entire ISO range and 5-axis image stabilisation for greater shooting control, the a7S II delivers stunning image quality for photographers who shoot in the most challenging light conditions,” the statement said.
