Rain, thunder forecast in some areas

Rain and thunder are expected in some parts of the country today along with strong winds, the Met office has said.
The wind speed will reach 25kt in some areas, according to the forecast.
It will be hazy to misty at first in some places, followed by partly cloudy conditions along with a chance of thundershowers. It will also be humid by night, the weather office has said.
Hazy and partly cloudy conditions are likely in offshore areas.
The minimum and maximum temperatures in the country are expected to be 26C and 37C, respectively, with the forecast for Doha being 29C and 35C.

Ashghal to hold social meeting at Al Khor, Dhakira

The Public Works Authority (Ashghal) will hold a social meeting at Al Khor and Al Dhakhira municipalities as part of the authority’s effort to maintain contacts with the public.
The meeting, due to be held on Wednesday morning at Al Khor Club, aims at increasing the awareness of residents and owners of neighbouring commercial and business establishments about projects being carried out by Ashghal within Al Khor and Al Dhakira municipalities as well as stages of infrastructure projects, roads and public buildings in the area.

Minister of Labour meets US official

HE the Minister of Labour and Social Affairs Dr Abdullah Saleh Mubarak al-Khulaifi met US Special Representative for International Labour Affairs at the Department of State in Doha yesterday.  
They discussed bilateral relations and the means to enhance it.
