Topnotch designers to attend Mercedez-Benz Fashion Week

COUNTDOWN BEGINS:  Event Founder and Director Rahat Mansoor Ali, second Right, with a Mercedes-Benz official and models.

Celebrating fashion, beauty, music and lifestyle with a crossover of international culture from designers to entertainers, the second edition of Mercedez-Benz Fashion Week, the first in Gulf Co-operation Council (GCC), for the year has been announced.
The two-day fashion extravaganza featuring top designers is scheduled to take place on December 10 and 11 this year at Doha Marriott Hotel.
The show will bring top models walking one of the most glamorous runways while celebrities will charm the red carpet. The first edition of the event held earlier this year attracted a houseful audience on both days.
Like always, the event will be attended by diplomats from different countries, members of Qatari business community, and VVIPs besides a large huge presence of international media, jet-setters and fashion royalty, making it more glamorous.
“Even though Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Doha is a closed-door event that generates a significant amount of media activity, the general public can access images almost as they happen due to the growing number of social media communication tools,” said Rahat Mansoor Ali, the Event Founder and Director, Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Doha.
“I am extremely thankful to Mercedes-Benz for their continuous support in promoting fashion, and look forward to see this longstanding event positioned alongside global counterparts in New York, Miami, Berlin and Tokyo, further cementing its position in the global fashion industry and reinforcing Doha as the fashion capital,” she added.
Held twice a year, said Rahat, the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week has now become the most eagerly awaited event of the fashion industry in Qatar, and has continued to exceed expectations with each passing show.
Rahat said the objectives of the show are to promote luxury fashion to the high-net worth Qatari and international community residing in one of the richest countries in the world; and vice versa for the designers to enjoy the exposure of Qatar’s untapped market.
This event is Rahat’s brainchild who introduced the world’s leading fashion runway in Doha, yet the first ever in GCC. Rahat has been organising leading fashion events for past several seasons and is a prominent name for delivering mega and high quality events in Doha.
Mercedes-Benz, for more than a decade, has established itself as an experienced partner of major international fashion platforms.
In addition to its sponsorship activities in Berlin and New York, the Mercedes-Benz automaker is the title sponsor of Fashion Weeks in Miami and Mexico City as well as the Fashion Festival in Brisbane.
Mercedes-Benz is also actively involved in the fashion capitals of Paris and Milan, and numerous other fashion events in cities such as Stockholm and Amsterdam.
While fashion mostly responds to short-lived trends, the design of every Mercedes-Benz automobile is geared toward modernity and long-lasting desirability. The result is sometimes even iconic.
Innovation and perfection, elegance and style are the ties that bind Mercedes-Benz design and luxury fashion design. Mercedes-Benz and fashion is truly a perfect match and a lifestyle statement.
