A number of issues concerning power generation, particularly in the new areas of energy will be deliberated at the Power Qatar Summit to be held under the patronage of Qatar General Electricity & Water Corporation (Kahramaa) at Ritz-Carlton Doha today and tomorrow.
The event focused on power generation and transmission is expected to witness the presence of a number of visitors, exhibitors and delegates among others to discuss and exchange ideas concerning the region’s energy future. The summit will explore the growing focus on renewable energy, energy efficiency, clean technology and offer an overview on the future of energy development in the region, The conference agenda will offer delegates an overview of Qatar’s sustainable energy plans and future strategies. Issues such as Kahramaa’s prospective and ongoing projects related to solar energy, smart energy solutions, renewable energy resources, current status, future prospects and Qatar National Research Fund’s action plan regarding clean energy technologies will also be discussed.
Apart from panel discussions on reviewing the challenges facing solar industry growth, the summit will also cover sessions on the 400-kV interconnection super grid. There will also be sessions on the 2022 Fifa World Cup powered by innovations.
