The Supreme Council of Health (SCH) has launched a national campaign to raise public awareness on the importance of the vaccination against seasonal influenza, particularly with the arrival of the winter season.
The Public Health Department of the SCH launched the campaign by vaccinating employees on Sunday and Monday. The Department of Health Protection and Communicable Diseases Control has prepared a comprehensive plan to reach out to all the categories of people targeted in the campaign.
A close co-ordination with all the related entities and departments would be maintained to achieve the targets of the campaign. A workshop will also be held for the health professionals. The vaccination could be taken at the Primary Health Care Centres.
