Qatar, US sign MoU to establish economic and investment dialogue

Qatar and the US have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to establish economic and investment dialogue, in recognition of the close and important ties between the two countries.
The MoU was signed by HE the Foreign Minister Dr Khalid bin Mohamed al-Attiyah and US Secretary of State John Kerry.
The signing ceremony was attended by HE the Minister of Finance Ali Sherif al-Emadi, CEO of Qatar Investment Authority Sheikh Abdullah bin Mohamed bin Saud al-Thani, and Qatar’s ambassador to Washington Mohamed Jaham al-Kuwari.
The signing of the memorandum reflects the depth of economic and commercial ties between the two countries as well as their keenness on promoting economic and trade partnerships.
It is also a recognition of their common willingness on finding a sustainable dialogue on a range of economic and commercial issues.
Through the MoU, the two sides plan to establish an economic and investment dialogue to serve as a mechanism for holding meetings and co-ordination between the ministries and economic and commercial bodies in the governments of both countries.
