MINI sales post 34% growth in nine months

Alfardan Automobiles, the official MINI importer in Qatar, has announced a 34% year-on-year sales increase for the brand in the first nine months of 2015.
Driving growth has been the MINI Hatch 3-Door, which has seen 100% sales growth in the first nine months as compared to the same period last year. Sales of the MINI Hatch 5-Door also remain strong in Qatar, the company said in a statement.
Ihab Allam, general manager of Alfardan Automobiles, said: “The MINI brand continues to go from strength to strength in Qatar. As highlighted by these outstanding growth numbers, our clients are increasingly choosing MINI as they embrace the power, sportiness and heritage of this unique brand.
“These numbers highlight what has been a fantastic year for Alfardan Automobiles and we are confident that through both the strength of the MINI brand and our tireless work in delivering top after-sales service, our sales numbers will continue to grow.”
Both anticipating and supporting the growth of MINI in Qatar in 2015, Alfardan Automobiles launched a standalone MINI showroom in late 2014 in the West Bay area - presenting the brand’s fleet of models to Qatar-based automotive enthusiasts in a “fresh new way”, according to the statement.
Bolstering that fleet in 2016 will be the new MINI Clubman. “Commanding, elegant and noticeably mature, this third-generation MINI Clubman embraces the style of a coupé and practicality of hatchback as the ‘smallest large car’ in the new premium-compact segment,” the statement noted.
With an exterior just over 32cm longer and around 12cm wider than its predecessor, the interior of the new MINI Clubman has also expanded along with the exterior to reveal a raft of clear surfaces and a more “grown-up” sense of space.
With plenty of space to meet the demands of youthful, urban mobility, the new MINI Clubman is expected to be well-received within Qatar.
MINI’s success in Qatar is not only attributed to its “exciting and unique” driving feel. The premium British brand’s MINI Yours programme offers customers in Qatar and across the world a huge scope of customising options that reflect their own personality and style.
A wide range of exterior paint finishes and alloy wheels, upholstery variations and interior colour schemes, trims and colour lines, as well as the numerous MINI-specific options such as mirror caps, additional headlamps, roof decor and graphic elements, create “almost limitless options for making every MINI a unique made-to-measure
creation”.
