The Ministry of Economy and Commerce (MEC) has launched a new service wherein commercial registration can be issued and renewed through its mobile application, MEC_Qatar, available on IOS and Android. An applicant can get the necessary registration after filling in the required data and completing the payment process. A copy of the registration will be sent to the applicant through e-mail, which can be printed. Besides, investors can renew their commercial registration through the same app after following the steps involved. A SMS will be sent to the mobile number of the applicant, stating that his/her application is under study. When approved, another SMS will be sent to the user, asking him/her to pay the required fees. On conclusion of the payment, a copy of the renewed document will be sent to the e-mail of the user. These steps will be carried out in a short time-frame.
