The Telecommunications Department of Qatar’s Ministry of Interior has won ISO 9001:2008 certification.
German company TUV Hessen in collaboration with Arabian Quality Services Company presented the certificate at an event held in Doha.
Director of International Co-operation Department Major General Abdul Aziz al-Ansari; Telecommunications Department Director Brigadier Ali Salem al-Henzab; Strategic Planning Department Director Brigadier Abdul Rahman Majid al-Sulaiti, and Commercial Attache at the German embassy in Doha attended the event.
Speaking at the event, Major General al-Ansari lauded the telecom department’s work of providing the most advanced telecommunications systems to all sectors of the Interior Ministry.
He appreciated their efforts to improve all security functions and services provided by the MoI to citizens and residents in Qatar.
He also expressed his gratitude to the Qatari cadres who worked hard to accomplish this great achievement as well as the German embassy for their support and the Certification Company Arabian Quality Services. The Telecommunications Department received ISO certification in 2011.
