Launch, a series of associated learning events, has announced a range of speakers, including high-profile Qatari nationals, for its conference to be held in Doha from December 1 to 3.
The second Launch Conference will centre on the theme, “Mind and Motivation”, which will explore critical-thinking skills, problem solving, motivating self and others as well as examine emotional intelligence and professional mindfulness.
The Launch initiative focuses on developing the country’s future and existing leaders who are looking to enhance their career.
Distinguished Qatari leaders who will speak at Launch include Bothaina al-Ansari, senior HR director at Ooredoo, ambassador of Women Leading Change Qatar and entrepreneur.
Also speaking during the first two days of the Launch Conference will be Nicola Simpson of Qatar Development and Consultancy Centre, who will discuss “mindfulness, motivation and emotional intelligence”; Hilary Rowe of RasGas, who will elaborate on “unlocking personal success”; and Mohamed al-Hayder of Takallam, who will explore “happiness” as well as other industry leaders.
Launch will also offer workshops where delegates can experience learning through activities provided by industry professionals such as Dana al-Dosari and Rowe of RasGas, Elizabeth Fleming, founder and CEO of Launch, and Simpson. HEC Paris will also be facilitating the workshops.
Launch facilitates the professional development of Qatari nationals by equipping them with professional knowledge and skills as well as cultivating responsibility, ambition and ownership for their personal career development, according to a statement.
“We are delighted to have such an outstanding calibre of speakers who have achieved success in their respective fields,” Fleming said.
“The important thing to keep in mind about successful leaders is that they always lift people up and never let them down. This is a key value that Launch instils in Qatar’s leaders through its conferences and ongoing events,” al-Ansari stressed.
In addition to annual conferences, Launch provides an interactive series of learning events post the conference, including workshops, coaching and mentoring services, interactive social media advice as well as networking opportunities, which provide forums for discussion on issues and opportunities related to professional development.
To attend the conference, those interested can register and book online at http://www.qatarlaunch.com/registration.html
