The Ministry of Economy and Commerce (MEC) has announced the recall of 2004-2011 models of Dodge Durango, Dodge Charger, Dodge Ram pickup and Chrysler 300 due to a defect in the driver’s airbag, the official Qatar News Agency reported.
The campaign is being carried out in co-operation with United Cars Almana, the dealer of Dodge and Chrysler vehicles in Qatar,
The recall falls within the framework of ongoing co-ordination and follow-up by the ministry to ascertain the extent of car dealerships’ commitment to follow up on vehicular defects and repair them to protect consumer rights.
The MEC has stressed that it will co-ordinate with the dealership to follow up on maintenance and repair operations and communicate with customers to ensure implementation of the procedures to fix defects.
The ministry has urged consumers to report irregularities to the Department of Consumer Protection and Commercial Fraud Combat through its various channels.
