Al Khalij Commercial Bank (al khaliji) is hosting an open day at the Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs today, where it will select and recruit candidates to fill a range of roles in various
departments.
The open day is part of the bank’s efforts to push forward its Qatarisation initiative, according to a
statement.
The daylong event, now in its second year, is being held under the patronage of HE the Minister of Labour and Social Affairs Dr Abdullah Saleh Mubarak al-Khulaifi in the presence of al khaliji Group CEO Fahad al-Khalifa.
The event will provide Qatari talents with a wide variety of opportunities to join al khaliji’s team, the statement notes.
Through the event, al khaliji will meet, screen and network with qualified Qatari talents, from fresh graduates all the way to mid-level professionals who are looking to grow their career in dynamic growth environments and established institutions.
“We would like to extend our gratitude to the Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs for its support and co-operation on this initiative. It is only by joining our efforts that we can contribute to real change. This initiative supports the vision of our board of directors and demonstrates our commitment to empowering Qatari nationals,” said al-Khalifa.
“Today, our efforts and focus on localising talents have culminated in 100% Qatarisation across our branch managers. We look forward to marking more milestones and showcasing our talent localisation success across our regional and international network,” said Hamad al-Kubaisi, group chief human resources and administration officer at
al khaliji.
The bank is “committed to strengthening its Qatarisation programme by reaching out to qualified nationals and offering them excellent career opportunities in the banking sector”, the statement adds.
