Suresh Rebello emerged victorious in flight A of the golf tournament organised by Qatar Golf Lovers over the weekend at the Doha Golf Club. The tournament was held in honour of Rebello, a founder member of Qatar Golf Lovers, who is leaving Qatar shortly. Fifty two golfers participated in the tournament which was played on a strokeplay format.
Cliff Brenton was the winner in flight B. Sanjay Jain and Clark White were declared runners-up in flight A and flight B, respectively. Scott Gilbert won the ‘longest putt’ award, Bojan Pejic won the ‘longest drive’ award, Brenda Lockyer won the ‘closest to rope’ award and Tom Bell won the ‘closest to pin’ award. QGL hosted a prize distribution and lunch for all golfers and gave away prizes to all winners.
On behalf of all members, QGL President PK Mathew presented a memento and certificate to Rebello who also hit a hole-in-one recently..
