Alfardan Automobiles, the official BMW importer for Qatar, celebrated the BMW M range at an exclusive event at Losail International Circuit in Doha. The two-day event saw BMW M models put to the test and guests experiencing their true capabilities.
The event started with a parade organised by the Mawater Group, taking a group of M models from the Alfardan Automobiles showroom in West Bay to the Losail International Circuit.
“At Alfardan Automobiles we continually look to ways to engage with our customers and media, there is no better way to do this then to ignite and inspire their passion in driving, no model can do that like the M model range,” said general manager Ihab Allam.
Making their Middle East debut at the Qatar International Motor Show in February, the second generation BMW X6M and X5M models and the M4 Coupe were showcased amongst a range of M models.
Both the BMW X6M and X5M are powered by the latest-generation 4.4-litre V8 engine, using innovative M TwinPower Turbo technology to push torque and output to even higher performance levels. The high-revving six-cylinder in-line engine with M TwinPower Turbo technology developed for the M4 Coupe produces a maximum output of 431hp.
Alfardan Automobiles also had the iconic BMW M1 1981 model year, honouring the history and heritage of BMW M. The standard six-cylinder engine is capable of accelerating to 100km in approximately six seconds, reaching a top speed of 265 km/h, curb weight of about 1,450kg. The bodies and the space frames of the 453 BMW M1 copies were made in Italy before being delivered to Germany. The BMW M1 model has a 277hp and a manual five-speed transmission.
Alfardan Automobiles especially thanked the Mawater Group and the BMW Club in Qatar for their support for the BMW track event.
