The best 3x3 basketball players, federations and promoters are set to be rewarded at the inaugural edition of the FIBA 3x3 Awards, presented by Qatar Basketball Federation (QBF) on December 10, 2015, in Doha.
The ten different categories are World’s #1 Player (Men), World’s #1 Player (Women), World’s # 1 Player (U18 Men), World’s #1 Player (U18 Women), Most Spectacular Player, Best Performing Federation, Most Active Federation, Most Valuable Promoter, Best CSR Project and Outstanding Contribution.
The winners will be named based on objective criteria such as rank in the FIBA 3x3 Individual World Ranking (World’s #1 players), rank in the FIBA 3x3 Federation Ranking (Best Performing Federation), number of games and players (Most Active Player, Most Valuable Player).
FIBA will also single out the best corporate social responsibility project based on 3x3 basketball and reward a personality who has made a real difference in the development of the young urban discipline (Outstanding Contribution).
Last but not least, fans decide who the most spectacular player of the 3x3 season is by watching and promoting the athlete’s mixtape on YouTube.com/FIBA3x3.
The ceremony will be held in Katara Hall in Doha at 7:30pm on December 10, 2015.
On the following day, the Qatari capital will host the FIBA 3x3 All Stars, the prestigious season-ending event of 3x3 basketball, which features the best players in the FIBA 3x3 Individual World Ranking from all around the world.
