The Ministry of Economy and Commerce (MEC) has announced that it has developed a simplified activation process for its smartphone application.
The process makes it easier for users to activate their accounts on the application and access the various services available through it, the MEC has said in a statement.
The app, called MEC_QATAR, is available on both IoS and Android.
Users, whether consumers or investors, can download the app for free and complete the registration process by the following the required steps.
When the process is completed, the user will receive an SMS on the registered phone number with a verification code, which will enable him/her to use all the available services.
The MEC had earlier launched a number of e-services with the aim of making transactions and applications hassle-free for the public and investors.
Such services include renewal of commercial registration and licences, queries about a company and relevant details, and a variety of administrative services of the ministry.
