Hospitality guests at the 2016 Commercial Bank Qatar Masters will be treated to an unforgettable culinary experience with award-winning Michelin-starred chef, Theo Randall (pictured), hosting the event’s high-end hospitality offering with a team from the InterContinental Doha from January 27-30, 2016.
Guests at the Commercial Bank Qatar Masters’ Winner’s Enclosure and at the Albatross View hospitality pavilions will have the exclusive opportunity to experience the culinary expertise of the renowned five-star chef at the Doha Golf Club throughout the four days of the prestigious European Tour event.
Chef Randall’s signature dishes will be served in both hospitality lounges while guests in the Winner’s Enclosure will get the chance to witness his renowned skills first hand at live cooking sessions. British Chef and InterContinental Hotel Group (IHG) Culinary Ambassador Randall specialises in Italian cuisine and is looking forward to visiting Qatar for the first time.
“I am delighted to be involved in the Commercial Bank Qatar Masters for the first time. I am a huge golf fan so I’m looking forward to catching some of the action on course as well as presenting some fine Italian food to hospitality guests,” said Randall, who opened his first restaurant at the InterContinental in London to huge critical acclaim and success in 2006. “Italian food is all about celebrating the ingredients and preparing dishes that allow guests to enjoy a culinary journey in an environment that is both fun and relaxed, which fits perfectly with the Commercial Bank Qatar Masters.”
Randall has won awards including London Restaurant Awards Best Italian Restaurant of The Year, Harden’s Guide 2013 Best Italian/ Mediterranean, the highest ranked Italian on the Sunday Times Food List 2013, and his dish ‘Cappelletti di Vitello’ won Best Restaurant Dish 2014 at the Tatler Restaurant Awards.
Commercial Bank CEO Abdulla Saleh al-Raisi said, “The Commercial Bank Qatar Masters is continuously enhancing its hospitality offering and providing sponsors and businesses an impressive platform to entertain and network with their guests. In 2016, Chef Randall will be the main hospitality attraction and Commercial Bank is excited to celebrate this new offering with its guests. The new hospitality offering provides guests with an unmatched opportunity to socialise in a relaxed environment whilst enjoying world-class action on the golf course and a truly outstanding dining experience with Theo Randall. Fine dining is a big part of our culture here in the Middle East, and having one of the world’s leading chefs at one of Qatar’s leading sporting events is the perfect fit for our partners and guests.”
