QP honours employees for service milestones

Qatar Petroleum, under the patronage of its president and CEO Saad Sherida al-Kaabi, has honoured yesterday a total of 629 employees who have reached career milestones of 10 and 15 years of service with the corporation.
The second part of QP’s annual Continuous Service Awards (CSA) gave recognition to 398 employees who have completed 10 years of service and 231 staff who have been part of the corporation for the past 15 years.
QP’s executive vice president for Human Capital, Abdulaziz Mohamed al-Mannai congratulated the employees for achieving their employment milestones and thanked them for their service, commitment and dedication.
“It means a lot to us to witness the hard work and dedication of so many people. This is a not just a testimony to your devotion, but also to QP’s standing and reputation as an employer.”
Al-Mannai later presented each of the awardees with a certificate of appreciation and a gift as a token of gratitude. A number of vice presidents and top officials also took part in distributing certificates and gifts to honoured employees from their respective directorates or departments.
Executive vice presidents Ahmad Saif al-Sulaiti (Operations), Khalid Said al-Rumaihi (Field Development & Exploration, Mohamed Salem al-Marri (Projects, Engineering & Procurement Services), Abdul-Rahman Ahmad al-Shaibi (Finance & Planning) and vice president for HSE & Business Services Nabeel Mohamed al-Buenain were among those who feted the employees.
The first CSA ceremony, held last week, recognised a total of 225 employees who have already served between 20 and 40 years with the corporation.
In addition, as part of this year’s CSA ceremony, a total of 529 QP employees will also be receiving certificates of appreciation for having been employed with the corporation for the past five years.
Organised by QP’s Public Relations and Communications Department in partnership with the Human Capital Directorate, the annual CSA ceremony was held at the convention hall of the new QP Headquarters in West Bay.
The event is considered as an important way by which QP recognises the valuable contribution of its employees in the corporation’s continued growth and in the continued development of Qatar’s oil and gas industry.
