Three Asian expatriates were killed in a road accident in the Umm Baab area on Saturday, according to information received on Tuesday.
Two of the deceased were Nepalese and the other an Indian, identified as Balachandran. Two of the victims are reported to be in the age group of 25-30.
The accident occurred when the bus in which they were being ferried to their accommodation in Umm Salal was hit by a trailer coming from the opposite direction on a single lane road in Umm Baab.
The victims were returning home after their work. Many other workers were injured in the accident.
Efforts are on to take the bodies of the victims to their home countries, sources said.
