PSG ‘Je suis Paris’ tribute to attack victims

Paris: Paris Saint-Germain will wear shirts with the words ‘Je suis Paris’ on them for their next two games in tribute to victims of the terror attacks in the French capital.
The French champions face Malmo in Sweden in the Champions League today and Troyes in Ligue 1 at the Parc des Princes on Saturday in their first home game since the terror attacks which killed 130 people and left hundreds wounded.
The club confirmed on their website: “In honour of the victims of the attacks in Paris on November 13 Paris Saint-Germain players will wear a special shirt carrying only the words ‘Je suis Paris’ for their next two games.”
Other Ligue 1 clubs have paid their own tributes following the assaults which included three large explosions outside the Stade de France during a friendly between France and Germany. Saint-Etienne players wore shirts on Sunday without a sponsor’s logo and with the words ‘Peace and Love’ alongside an image of the Eiffel Tower.
In what was an emotional weekend in Ligue 1 Lassana Diarra played a full 90 minutes for Marseille after spending time with his family following the killing of his cousin in the attacks. Each game in Ligue 1 was preceded by a minute’s silence and the singing of La Marseillaise.
