QU signs agreement with WV University

Qatar University (QU) has signed a five-year agreement with West Virginia University (WVU) to establish a collaboration in the field of education and research and the development of visiting programmes
for qualified students.
The agreement was signed by QU president Dr Hassan al-Derham and WVU president E Gordon Gee.
The terms of the agreement include faculty exchange and collaboration in the areas of teaching and research. It also included exchange of students and scholarly publications and information in areas of mutual interest to faculty from the two universities.
Both institutions will also collaborate on the development and implementation of student visiting programmes, joint degree programmes, as well as
teaching forums.
“We are pleased to partner with West Virginia University in the spirit of promoting education and research excellence, and high-quality programmes that will benefit students from both institutions,” Dr al-Derham said:
He noted that the agreement aligns with QU’s ongoing efforts to offer various development opportunities and services that empower its students.
Gee said: “Through this partnership we will expand our mission of teaching, research, and service to the global sphere and our students and faculty will have unique opportunities to live and study in Qatar and the GCC region.”
