A traffic diversion for almost two years will come into effect on Gharrafat Al Rayyan Street between Gharrafat Al Rayyan Roundabout and Qatar Foundation (Civil Defence) from Saturday.
It will remain effective until the last quarter of 2017.
Traffic on the nearly 1,150m distance will be diverted to a new road adjacent to the existing road (as shown in the map). The diversion has become necessary to allow the construction of the proposed Dukhan Highway East project.
The project encompasses approximately 11km of new dual carriageway with four lanes on each direction, the upgrade of service roads, and the construction of pedestrian tunnels.
