Qatar’s Ambassador to Belgium and head of Qatar’s mission to the European Union, HE Sheikh Ali bin Jassim al-Thani, met at the European Parliament the head of the Qatari-European Friendship Group, Ramona Manescu, along with members of The European Parliament.
The meeting took place concurrently with the ambassador’s participation in the European Parliament’s regular meetings in the French city of Strasburg.
The meeting discussed the situation in the Middle East and the importance of promoting ties between Qatar and the EU as well as a set of issues of common concern.

holds seminar on
new companies law
The Ministry of Economy and Commerce held the fourth edition of its series of seminars on the new law on commercial companies, dedicating it to accounting firms and lawyer offices.
The seminar aimed at shedding light on the role of the new law in stimulating investment and enhancing the competitiveness of national economy as well as sharing the views and suggestions of lawyers and accounting controllers. Officials from the ministry took part in the seminar along with representatives of Qatar University, Qatar Lawyers Association, and a number of lawyers and accounting controllers.
The event touched on procedures of founding shareholding companies, whether public or private, and how to adjust their situations in accordance with the law.
