Darb Al Saai festivities site bustling with activity

Doha

The site for the annual Darb Al Saai festivities, in connection with the Qatar National Day celebrations, is bustling with activity as preparations are progressing in full swing.

Darb Al Saai is a distinctive feature of the National Day celebrations and constitutes a great public attraction, with its diverse and rich blend of activities. Many government and public entities are taking part in the event, with each having a special well-packed programme for the event.

A number of workers and technicians were seen on the grounds at Al Sadd in Doha. While the stalls of many activities have already been erected, the others are under construction. Like every year, Darb Al Saai is being prepared to depict a blend of modernity and tradition reflecting the present and the past of the country.

Visitors to the place will enjoy a variety of events and activities that cater to all categories and ages of people. There will be a corner for traditional tents and a heritage handicraft market. There are also models of traditional Qatari villages equipped with traditional furniture and kitchen utensils to display the old way of life, before the discovery of oil. There will be separate areas for camels, goats and horses as well.
