The International Diabetes Federation (IDF) has elected Mohamed Khalid al-Saadi (pictured) of Qatar Diabetes Association as the regional chair of IDF for the Mena region during the ongoing Diabetes Congress in Vancouver. Al-Saadi is also the diabetes ambassador in Qatar and the region. The young leaders are committed to raising awareness of diabetes by being a powerful voice for prevention, education, access to quality care, improved quality of life and the end of discrimination worldwide.
