Commercial Bank officials during the announcement of the first “Reward Points Millionaire” campaign

Commercial Bank picks first winner of rewards campaign

Commercial Bank has announced the first winner of its “Reward Points Millionaire” campaign, which offers customers the chance to win up to 1mn Rewards Points.
During the campaign period running until December 31, customers spending a total of QR10,000 or more using their Commercial Bank credit card are automatically entered into the prize draw.
Dr Javaid Sheikh was the winner of 250,000 Reward Points in the first prize draw this month, with two other customers standing the chance to win 500,000 and the grand prize of 1mn Reward Points in separate prize draws taking place in December and January.
As an additional reward, Commercial Bank is also giving double Reward Points on all local, international, and e-Commerce credit card purchases until December 31 to thank customers for their loyalty in using the bank’s products and services.
Reward Points can be redeemed through Commercial Bank’s market-leading loyalty programme, allowing customers to use their points for flights to any destination, at any time, with no blackout dates.
One million Reward Points is enough for a customer to fly two people first class to New York. Alternatively, customers can redeem their Reward Points instantly at Qatar’s largest and most popular department stores, including electronics, jewellery, fashion, department stores and much more.
Dean Proctor, Commercial Bank EGM, Consumer and Private Banking, said: “Our ‘Reward Points Millionaire’ campaign was designed with Commercial Bank’s promise to make everything possible for our customers in mind. I pass on my congratulations to our first winner and wish our customers luck in winning the remaining huge prizes of 500,000 and 1mn Reward Points.
“As Commercial Bank values all our loyal customers, all credit card purchases will earn double Rewards Points during the campaign period, which can be redeemed instantly through Qatar’s most innovative and flexible rewards programme.”
Sheikh said: “I’m elated to win 250,000 Rewards Points and be the first winner of the Million Reward Points Campaign. Using my Commercial Bank Credit Card on everyday spending has indeed been rewarding.
“It’s truly a pleasure to be banking with Commercial Bank, which is all about excellent customer service. A positive and ‘can do’ attitude is their motto. My thanks to Commercial Bank and I look forward to having more chances to win such generous prizes.”
