Qatar and Japan have exchanged diplomatic notes as part “entering into force” an agreement for the Avoidance of Double Taxation and the Prevention of Fiscal Evasion with respect to Taxes on Income”. This agreement was signed on February 20 this year. The diplomatic notes were exchanged in Doha on November 30 between the Embassy of Japan and Qatar’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs (Department of Asian Affairs). The notes were exchanged between Shingo Tsuda, Japanese ambassador and Khalid Ibrahim Abdulrahman al-Hamar, director, Asian Affairs Department at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The agreement will come in effect on December 30, the Japanese embassy said in a release.
