GOIC announces 1st Gulf Metrology Forum keynote speakers

The Gulf Organisation for Industrial Consulting (GOIC) has announced the keynote speakers for the 1st Gulf Metrology Forum to be held in Qatar on December 14 and 15.
Dr Ali Hamed al-Mulla, GOIC assistant secretary-general and chairman of the forum’s organising committee, said the speakers for the event are Dr Martin Milton, Dr Stephan Patoray, Dr Petr Fisk, and Dr Hyong-Ha Kim.
Al-Mulla said the forum is a meeting of experts in meteorology in the GCC seeking to plan for the future of this vital sector. It will showcase ideas and best-practices in the meteorology field.
The forum will touch on the latest international developments in metrology and is a collective effort to align Gulf metrology policies and regulations with global developments in measurement techniques and their applications.
Al-Mulla said Milton will be speaking on “Scientific and Legal Metrology” while Patoray will deliver a presentation on “The role of legal meteorology in a global market.”
Meanwhile, Fisk will discuss “Industrial Meteorology & Energy” and “The importance of international recognition of national measurement capabilities to trade and global competitiveness: the Asia Pacific experience.”
Also, Kim will be speaking about “Food Metrology in Korea” during the fourth session titled “Health and Food.”
