The Statue which has been created by artist Chris Butler of the Castle Fine Art Foundry and funded by the Cavern Club is situated at The Pier Head and has been created from photographs of the band members in 1963 at that location. The statue was unveiled by Julia Baird, sister of John Lennon who was present at their final performance in their home city at The Empire Theatre on December 5, 1965.
