Hanan XII wins 27th CDC Cricket Tournament

In the finals of the Ist Division of the 27th CDC cricket tournament 2015, Hanan XII defeated M Pallonji by 41 runs.
Winning the toss and deciding to bat Hanan XII put up a formidable score of 208 runs all out in 18.5 overs. Imran delivered a stand-out performance, scoring 77 runs off only 29 balls, including nine sixes and four boundaries. Skipper Niyamat scored 33 runs off 15 deliveries with four sixes. Aswar contributed 24 runs which had three sixes and Khalifa was not out with 22 runs (2x6, 1x4).
Thisuru and Dikshit took 3 wickets each while Neeraj, Nihal, Naveed and Raziq shared a wicket apiece.
In reply, Pallonji could not maintain the momentum they generated at the start and could reach only 167 runs for the loss of 10 wickets. Dikshit top scored for his team with 55 runs that included six sixes. Neeraj was not out on 15 runs while Ibrahim scored 19 runs with 2 sixes and a boundary.
Hisham and Khadar took two wickets each, while Nazir, Imran, Amin and Aswar took a wicket each.
Kadir of CDC was the chief guest of the prize distribution ceremony. At the start, a two-minute silence was observed as a mark of respect for the Mohamed AlShamlan who was a pillar of the Qatar Veterans’ League. It was announced that Fawad Rana, Managing Director of Qatar Lubricants (Qalco) had spontaneously agreed that the concluding tournament of the season sponsored by Qalco would hence forth be named Mohamed Alshamlan Memorial Cricket Tournament.
The prize distribution ceremony was attended by supporters and well wishers. Over 300 prizes were given away to various players in the tournament.
The prize distribution ended with complimentary refreshments and a lucky draw for Spectators.    
Chidananda Nayak and his team of M Pallonji were kind enough to construct a stage for the prize distribution ceremony.
