Richard Mille has opened its first boutique in Qatar in partnership with Ali Bin Ali Watches and Jewellery, in Porto Arabia at The Pearl-Qatar.
The highlight of the opening was the worldwide premiere of the RM 07-02 Pink Lady Sapphire, the first full sapphire cased timepiece dedicated entirely to women.
To celebrate the opening, Richard Mille hosted a reception and dinner at Nobu in the Four Seasons Doha, attended by more than 150 of Qatar’s most notable watch collectors, enthusiasts and prominent social figures.
They were welcomed by Ali Bin Ali Group chairman and president Adel Ali bin Ali, chairman and executive vice president Nabeel Ali bin Ali, Richard Mille founder and CEO Richard Mille, and Richard Mille Europe, Middle East and Africa CEO Peter Harrison.
French DJ Claude Challe, creator of the renowned Buddha Bar music, opened and rounded off the evening with his legendary lounge music. Models presented a selection
of the latest Richard Mille watches.
Featuring the pioneering case technology that was first used in the men’s RM 056 Tourbillon Sapphire, the RM 07-02 Pink Lady Sapphire features a new in-house CRMA5 calibre assembled around a skeletonised plate in microblasted 5N gold set with diamonds, protected by a pink sapphire crystal case.
Harrison stated that the opening of the first Richard Mille Boutique in Qatar continues a programme of developing standalone boutiques in the Middle East to cater for clients and
offer a tailor-made brand experience.
“Having the worldwide premier of the RM 07-02 Pink Lady Sapphire in Doha signals our intention of providing the new boutique with a global prominence marked by exclusivity, luxury and excellent service.”
The new boutique designed by Mélanie Treton-Monceyron plays on multiple variations of shape, material and colour. The gentle curves that enliven the softly illuminated ceilings co-ordinate with the interplay of colours on the walls. The cream tone of Sophie Mallebranche’s contemporary woven metal and the surprising material of broken glass from an interesting contrast with the brown shades of the traditional Macassar ebony. The main salon features the large 3D watch in
engraved glass.
The Richard Mille Boutique is open from Saturday to Thursday, 10am to 10pm and Friday 4pm to 10pm.
