Mannai Auto Group announced the arrival of the 2016 GMC Sierra that offers signature premium styling and new, advanced engineering features.
“There is a trim that suits everyone, including an unprecedented number of customisation options to suit the avid adventurer, or an elevated level of luxury for the bold entrepreneur looking to stand out from the crowd,” said Mahmoud Skhiri, general sales manager, Mannai Auto Group.
A design element that stands out at first glance are the signature “C-shaped” LED daytime running lights and headlights, along with unique grilles for each trim level, new LED fog lamps, new bumpers, and new “C-shaped” LED taillights.
The new look for the Sierra 1500 offers greater visual distinction among the models and some special equipment packages such as the Elevation and All Terrain, while also introducing significant lighting technology upgrades.
These include Lane Keep Assist which helps keep the vehicle in its lane with subtle steering enhancements, and IntelliBeam headlamp control which automatically adjusts the high beams for oncoming traffic.
Other features include phone integration via GMC IntelliLink, which enhances connectivity and promotes safer driving. It allows smartphone users to connect with applications such as navigation, hands-free messaging and more through Apple CarPlay or Android Auto.
Apple CarPlay allows drivers to make calls, send and receive messages and listen to music right from the touchscreen or by voice via Siri. Apple CarPlay-supported apps include Phone, Messages, Maps, Music and compatible third-party audio apps.
Android Auto is built around Google Maps, Google Now and the ability to talk to Google, as well as a growing audio and messaging app ecosystem. Android Auto requires a phone running an Android Lollipop 5.0 operating system or above.
Other value added comforts include wireless phone charging, available on models with front bucket seats. An eight-speed automatic transmission is coupled with the 5.3L V-8 engine on the SLT, and standard with the 6.2L V-8 engine on Sierra Denali.
The 2016 Sierra 1500 range includes regular cab and two four-door cab (double cab and crew cab) body styles, all offered with 4WD. Special packages are also available.
Also returning for 2016 is the Sierra Denali, the top of the range model, which claims to be the only full-size truck to offer Magnetic Ride Control real-time damping. Along with the available 6.2L V-8 and eight-speed automatic transmission and new connectivity features, the 2016 Sierra Denali retains its position ‘as the most refined, technically advanced truck on the market.’
