QNB is participating in this year’s Darb Al Saai Qatar National Day festivities with a special booth in the “Doha tent”.
A large number of people have visited the QNB booth to experience educational activities designed for children, the bank has said in a statement.
At the booth, children are taken through the “Cycle of Money”, which seeks to show them how money is withdrawn and deposited in a simplified and miniature form. They are also taught on the history of currency and developments that eventually led to the use of debit/credit cards and ATMs.
QNB has also distributed its educational book, ‘Money Made Easy’, after briefing children on its content - the world of economy and finance - in a way that appeal to kids.
The interactive booth includes a model of an ATM, where the children are asked a question about the “Cycle of Money”. Those who answer correctly are photographed by the machine for a National Day-themed photograph.
The activities are aimed at not only educating children, but also instilling patriotism and national pride in future generations, the statement notes. “QNB continuously contributes to the preservation of Qatari national heritage through its various campaigns and sponsorship efforts. QNB is also a proud strategic partner of Qatar National Day as an expression of its pride in Qatar’s history and traditions,” the bank has stressed.
