Occidental Petroleum of Qatar Limited (Oxy Qatar) was principal sponsor of the recently held International Petroleum Technology Conference (IPTC) and took part in the exhibition at Qatar National Convention Centre.
Oxy Qatar was also platinum sponsor of the IPTC Young Members participating in the IPTC International Education Summit in conjunction with the ninth IPTC.
Stephen Kelly, president and general manager of Oxy Qatar, addressed more than 70 Young Members during the opening of the Education Summit. He presented Occidental’s corporate highlights, regional operations summary and a brief on local social responsibility investments, among other information.
“This was a great opportunity for sponsor companies to share with students a range of perspectives on how the oil and gas industry offers diverse and exciting challenges to any young professional considering paths to follow in the coming years,” said Kelly.
Oxy Qatar’s employees also contributed to other aspects of the IPTC.
