The driver of a trailer, which arrived from Saudi Arabia, died of a heart attack after entering the country in the wee hours on Friday.
Sources, which identified the driver as Indian national Johnson Pappan Attuvarathu Puthenpurayil (51), said he used to bring goods regularly from Saudi Arabia.
Johnson reportedly complained of chest pain while driving and stopped the vehicle on the wayside. The emergency medical services were unable to save his life, said a source in the Indian community.
The deceased hailed from Odanavattom, near Kottarakkara in the southern state of Kerala.
Arrangements are being made to fly the body home. His Saudi employer has deputed an official to help repatriate the body.
