The Qatar Asian Team Cup 2015, organised by the Qatar Tennis Federation in co-operation with Asian Federationm began yesterday at the Khalifa International Tennis and Squash Complex. The chamapionship will conclude on 29th December. The event is held for under-14 age category and two Qatari teams ‘A’ and ‘B’ teams in addition to eight different teams from other Asian Countries including Bahrain, India, Jordan and Nepal are participating the tournament.
Qatar teams consist of Rayyan al-Jufairi, Ali al-Mahmoud, Mohammed al-Sumaiti, Hassan al-Obaildy, Abdelrahman Ghazal, Hamad al-Qasemi and Ibrahim al-Sulaiti. Sultan Khalfan, the tournament director, stressed on the role played by this tournament in providing Qatari players the opportunity to exchange skills and experiences with other players coming from other tennis schools. He said the event will improve Qatari’s performance level.
