The Court of Appeal has acquitted an expatriate Arab woman and an Arab man of the charges of burglary, local Arabic daily Arrayah reported.
Earlier, the criminal court had sentenced them to a suspended year in jail and deportation. However, they appealed the ruling claiming that the court had failed to apply the law properly.
The victim and the claimant relinquished his rights to the case and told the court he could not remember whether anything wrong happened. Further, he dropped all charges and accusations against the two.
Accordingly, the Court of Appeal established that there were no solid evidence against them in the first place. It was only a coincidence that they were at the place together. The recordings of the house surveillance cameras also affirmed it. Eventually, the Court of Appeal quashed the ruling of the lower court.
