HE the Chairman of the Administrative Control and Transparency Authority Saad bin Ibrahim al-Mahmoud said that the State of Qatar is fully behind all Arab and International efforts that enhance the rule of law and fight corruption.
Al-Mahmoud was speaking in Cairo at the first Conference of States Parties to Arab Convention Against Corruption, which opened yesterday at the Arab League Headquarters under the chairmanship of Kuwaiti Minister of Justice and Minister of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs Yaqoub al-Sanea.
HE the Chairman of Administrative Control Authority said that the State of Qatar has passed many pieces of legislation that combat corruption through enhancing transparency. This was one of the main reasons behind Qatar’s high ranking internationally in the field, HE al-Mahmoud said adding that hosting the 13th United Nations Congress on Crime Prevention and Criminal Justice in April this year is another demonstration of Qatar’s commitment to the cause.
