Al Kharaitiyat team manager Turky Aman has confirmed that striker Issair Dia will return to Al Kharaitiyat replacing midfielder Anwar Diba. Dia is no stranger to Al Kharaitiyat, having played for them on loan during the 2014/2015 season.
Speaking to the QSL website, the former defender said: “We are waiting on the relevant transfer documents from his previous club to sign Dia. We will be looking for an instant impact from him when the league returns.” Aman also praised the other professional players, namely the fierce striker Yahya Kebe, Hassan Abdel Fattah and the tough defender Domingos.
Aman also made clear that Issiar Dia will be the only professional player to join the team during the winter transfer window and none of the remaining professionals will be replaced, adding that the team is in need for three more local players.
Commenting on the recent results, he said: “We were not satisfied with the results at the beginning of the season, nevertheless the performance has changed as well as the results, and we are satisfied with the current performances of the team.”
Speaking about whether he is worried about the team during the coming period, he said: “I have huge confidence in the players and I am aware of their potential. The results will improve in the second part of the season, I am sure of this.
Turky praised the work of Bosnian head coach Ammar Osim, stressing the break as important for the side: “We consider the current break as a huge opportunity to work with the team on all aspects and enhance the positive sides.” Al Kharitiyat are currently in 11th position in the QSL table. They will face current QSL champions Lekhwiya once the QSL resumes on the 28th of January, following the three week break for the AFC U23 championships being held in Qatar.
Umm Salal to resume training on January 11
Umm Salal have confirmed they will commence their training on the 11th of January, 2016 after a break to their squad due to the upcoming AFC U-23 tournament being held in Qatar from the 12 to 30 January, 2016.
The resumption of training sessions will be preceded by medical examinations for the players at Aspetar on January 10, 2016. Professional players Yannick Sagbo and the Brazilian defender Welinton will join the team training sessions on the 12th of January, 2016 after getting permission for two days extra leave from team management.
The medical staff will be also working on the rehabilitation and recovery of injured players Nasser Khalfan and Adel Alawi. Umm Salal are currently in fifth place in the QSL standings, and will face leaders Al Rayyan when the QSL resumes in round 16.
El Jaish ready injured trio
during QSL break
Second placed El Jaish has confirmed their training plans during the three week stoppage of QSL action. The soldiers are currently hoping that the injured trio of Wesam Rizik, Abdurahman Abubakar and Brazilian defender Lucas Mendes can regain fitness during the break.
The team medical staff will be working on completing the rehabilitation and recovery of the injured trio players in order for them to join the team training sessions starting on the 11th of January, 2016.
