Qatar’s Aisha al-Suwaidi clinched the gold medal of women’s 10m Rifle event in Qatar Shooting and Archery Cup 2016 at Lusail International Shooting Complex.
Bahiya al-Hamad finished second, while Mahbouba Akhlaqi claimed the third place.
In women’s 10m pistol event, Hanadi Salem took the gold medal. Nasra Mohamed and Mozah al-Suwaidi occupied the second and third places respectively.
To conclude on January 18, 2016, the event comes in light of the preparations for the Asian Shooting Championship to be staged in New Delhi from January 25 to February 6, 2016 which will serve as a qualification event for the Rio Olympic Games.
Shooters from Qatar and some other Asian countries are taking part in the tournament.
