The Public Works Authority (Ashghal) announced that an alternative route of 600 metres will be put in place on a section of Al Kassarat Street in the Industrial Area-Zone 91. The new route will have the same number of lanes.
The traffic diversion starts (tomorrow) on January 7 and will last for a period of six months. This diversion is required to carry out construction of a new expressway from interchange 30 to interchange 31, a vital part of the west corridor expressway.
Ashghal will install road signs to advise motorists of the diversion.
The authority requests all road users to abide by the speed limits, and follow the road signs to ensure their safety.
