Zahra Habeeb A Muhsin, a Qatari citizen, has been named as Ahlibank’s Al Rabeh Savings Scheme QR1mn Prize Draw winner for Q4 2015.
“I still can’t believe what happened. I was driving when Ahlibank called and informed me that I won the QR1mn prize. I opened my account in 2000 as did my family. This win of QR1mn will definitely change my life and I will reinvest my QR1mn winnings back into Al Rabeh to increase my chances of winning in the future,” she said.
Andrew McKechnie, Ahlibank’s deputy CEO (retail banking), congratulated the winner and said: “I am delighted that she intends to reinvest her winnings in Al Rabeh. This is a significant endorsement of the Al Rabeh Savings Scheme from a long-standing and valued customer for Al Rabeh.
He noted that the Scheme is available in a range of currencies, including QR, USD, GBP and euro, and an overdraft facility is available for up to 90% of balances held in Al Rabeh Savings Accounts and Certificates. “Moreover, Al Rabeh Savings Account holders will earn a market-leading interest on any balance above QR500,” he added.
Hassan al-Frangi, head of retail banking services, added: “As a trusted Qatari Bank that is at the heart of the community, we are delighted to announce Zahra Habeeb A Muhsin, a long-standing customer of our Old Airport branch, as the winner of the final QR1mn Al Rabeh quarterly draw for 2015. In addition, I was delighted to meet her to present the cheque.”
Ahlibank customers are eligible for entry into the prize draw by depositing QR500 for a minimum of seven days in an Al Rabeh Savings Account or by investing in a Savings Certificate. Customers with an Al Rabeh Savings Account have the chance to enter the weekly, monthly and quarterly draws, with an additional prize draw entry for each QR500 invested.
Additionally, customers can take part by purchasing Al Rabeh Savings Certificates in QR500 units from any Ahlibank branch. Every QR500 represents a chance to win under the scheme.
