In yet another treat for the Filipino expatriate community living in Qatar, the lead duo from the hugely popular TV series, On The Wings of Love (OTWOL), are stopping by in Doha during their world tour by The Filipino Channel (TFC) in March this year.
Singers, actors and dancers — James Reid and Nadine Lustre, or ‘Jadine’ — featured as leads in the 2015 sensataion, On the Wings of Love, a romantic comedy television series, in their first primetime series. The show premiered on ABS-CBN and worldwide on The Filipino Channel (TFC) on August 10, last year, replacing Bridges of Love.
Nadine Lustre started as a TV host in RPNG’s children oriented show entitled Storyland when she was just nine.
The rom-com centres around two different people, Leah, a simple girl with an American dream; and Clark, a boy living in America, who are forced to marry in order to legally stay and continue working in the United States.
It is the first primetime drama series for Reid and Lustre after the success of their movie collaborations in 2014. The World Tour show by TFC will feature Jadine at an exclusive performance at Doha Exhibition and Convention Centre on March 18.
The audience will have the opportunity to get up and close with the celebrities during a rehearsal session by winning the passes through upload of promo on phone competition.
Reid is a Filipino-Australian singer, actor, dancer and songwriter with dual Filipino and Australian citizenship. He rose to fame after being named as the Big Winner of Pinoy Big Brother: Teen Clash 2010.
He is also known for his roles as Spencer Ziff in Good Vibes, Cross Sandford in Diary ng Panget: The Movie, Timothy Odelle Pendleton in Talk Back and You’re Dead, Nikko John Borja in Para sa Hopeless Romantic besides Clark Medina in On the Wings of Love.
As a singer, his debut album James Reid was released digitally on iTunes and physically in September, 2013. Reid’s second album Reid Alert was released digitally on iTunes and physically on Valentine’s Day of 2015 by Viva Records which debuted at number 2 in Philippine iTunes pop music album charts behind Taylor Swift’s 1989.

The duo’s first primtime TV series On the Wings of Love proved to be a huge success.
Are Whatever on ASAP Rocks. Reid and Jackson featured four original songs including Can’t dance featuring their co-housemates Ann Li and Fretzie Bercede.
In 2013, Reid launched his self-titled debut album that is composed of two covers and four original songs, two of which is composed by Reid himself.
He also lent his voice to the Diary ng Panget: The Movie Soundtrack and Talk Back and You’re Dead Soundtrack, the official soundtracks of his two movies.
In January 2015, the music video of the song entitled Hanap Hanap premiered in MTV Pinoy. The song was his fourth collaboration with OTWOL co-star Nadine Lustre after No Erase, Rocketeer and Bahala Na.
In 2012, Reid becomes a talent of Viva Artists Agency after signing a contract with Viva. His launching movie was Diary ng Panget together with Nadine Lustre, Yassi Pressman and Andre Paras. The movie was released on April 2, 2014 and became a box-office hit earning at least 119.5mn pesos during its 4-week run.
In 2014, the duo featured in another movie, Talk Back and You’re Dead and during its 4-week run the movie has grossed 79.8mn pesos according to Box Office Mojo.
Lustre is a Filipina singer, actress, television host, and choreographer. She is best known for her role as Eya Rodriguez in the film adaptation of Diary ng Panget and as Georgina Evangelista in the television remake of the Bagets film series.
Lustre was a member and oftentimes lead vocalist of the all-female group called Pop Girls. Eventually she left the group and became a solo singer. Lustre started as a TV host in RPN’s children oriented show entitled Storyland, when she was nine years old.
She became one of the members of the cast in TV5’s youth-oriented programme Bagets, being a talent of Viva Entertainment. Lustre also appeared in the film Petrang Kabayo with Vice Ganda on the lead role, and starred in P S I Love You, a drama series in TV5.
She starred again with Reid in Para sa Hopeless Romantic, a film adaptation of the best-selling novel with the same name written by Marcelo Santos III in 2015.
