HE the Minister of Culture, Arts and Heritage Dr Hamad bin Abdul Aziz al-Kuwari met Cyprus Minister of Education and Culture Costas Kadis, who is currently in Doha.
They discussed bilateral relations in the cultural field and the means to enhance them. The two countries had signed an agreement for cultural co-operation in 2011.
Environment Minister meets Kazakhstan envoy
HE the Minister of Environment Ahmed Amer Mohamed al-Humaidi yesterday met the Kazakhstan ambassador to Qatar Askar Shokybayev.
The Minister received an invitation to take part in the meeting of The Islamic Organisation for Food Security (IOFS) General Assembly slated for April 26-28 in Astana, the capital of Kazakhstan.
Qatar to host meeting of GCC education panel
Qatar will host the 16th meeting of the heads of higher education certificates equation committees in the Gulf Co-operation Council (GCC) countries, slated for January 13-14.
The meeting will discuss ways to develop a common mechanism for academic accreditation and certification in the GCC states, pilot objectives and standards for the assessment of academic qualifications and the procedures followed in higher education authorities in the GCC States for the fight against fake certificates besides other topics.
