Ministry publishes journal of trademarks
The Ministry of Economy and Commerce (MEC) has issued a journal of trademarks registered in the country during December.
The journal includes 985 trademarks for trades and services, of which 54 are local brands and the rest being international brands. It also includes registration requests for trademarks that had been approved before, besides the trademarks that were modified.
The applicants can submit any objection they might have on the trademarks published in the journal.
MEC issues such journals to implement the Law No.9 for 2002. The law regulates trademarks, commercial identification, trade names, geographical identification, and industrial designs.
The journal will be distributed among the agents and representatives of applicant companies in Qatar.
