Alfardan BMW continued their winning ways by routing KIA Motors, 61-45, in the Inter-Car Division of the 19th Pinoy Basketball of Qatar (PIBAQ) tournament over the weekend at Al Gharafa Training Gym.
Alfardan started to pull away with a double-digit edge with six minutes left in the second quarter and even widened it to as high as 18 points in the last part of the third quarter.
KIA inched closer by nine points at 8:39 in the last quarter but that’s only how close they could get as the winning team fought back and never looked back until the final buzzer.
Julius Umali scored 15 points for Alfardan, while Juanito Rosario and Jan Lareza had 16 and 14 points, respectively.
It was only Rickson Rance who played efficiently for the KIA side with 12 points and 10 boards.
In other games, Mannai Automobiles trounced Mercedes Benz, 61-52 while Nissan downed AAB Toyota, 70-54.
